Remember Jaime from the Real World San Diego?

You go girl! It's so cool to see good things happen to good people! Apparently she's had more than several small acting gigs in the last couple of years since Real World. Now her star is shooting way up with her role as Heaven in Samurai Girl, and the upcoming Summer release of Dragonball. She'll be playing Chi Chi.

Before our trip the wife and I had a chance to catch the premiere of Samurai Girl on ABC Family. It was a mini series premiere event that was spread out over three days in two hour a day increments. Overall the series was good but not great. The setting was supposed to be in the San Francisco Bay Area but being a Bay Area resident it was obvious to me that it was filmed out in Vancouver B.C. There have been various movies and TV shows supposedly set in San Francisco over the years but because of local laws and ordinances Hollywood has used Vancouver as it's stand in. So, anyhow... the only gripe i have is not where it was filmed, rather the usefullness of some scenes. I felt that some scenes were not necessary and didn't add anything to the overall story. The story itself is OK and the acting is decent but it is still worth a gander. I actually hope it becomes a regular TV series. Jaime Chung is refreshing, beautiful, and an overall good girl. She's Asian too! And i love to see Asians break glass ceilings and breakout onto the American mainstream.

I watched the Samurai Girl too!!!

I'm a sucker for such things so I even had it as a reminder on my phone to watch it! A friend wanted to go out on Sunday but thats when the conclusion was so I made my friend come over and watch it with me... nice huh? Glad to see I'm not the only dork who watches those things! But I agree it could def. have been better but I like the story
